Press release from the issuing company

HUDSON, N.H., March 9 -- Presstek, Inc., a leading manufacturer and marketer of high-tech digital imaging solutions for the graphic arts markets, today announced the appointment of Geoffrey Loftus to the position of Press Business General Manager. Mr. Loftus brings over 15 years of experience in the graphic arts industry -- specifically with conventional and digital press technologies. Prior to joining Presstek, he held key senior service and engineering positions at Heidelberg (Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG), both in the United States and Germany. Loftus most recently served as Senior Vice President, System Service where he held executive strategic, operational and financial responsibility for technical services and parts supply chain for Heidelberg in the US. He previously held the position Director of Engineering, and in the early 1990's worked on the R&D team for the original QuickMaster DI printing press as a Principal Mechanical Engineer. Mr. Loftus earned two patents as an inventor, and holds an MBA from New Hampshire College, a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont and a Certificate in Logistics Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. "We are delighted that Geoff has joined Presstek's team," said Peter Bouchard, Presstek's Marketing Vice President. "He is a highly accomplished and goal-focused operations executive with extensive experience in the print industry, customer support, logistics, and engineering, while working with a global vendor network. Geoff's leadership style and international business experience will be an asset to our company especially as we bring our own Presstek-branded DI presses to the market. In 2005, Presstek DI unit placements grew 75% year over year, and with our plans to expand our presence in Europe, we believe Geoff's experience will add great value to our continued and rapid growth path."
