ICS' John Sweeney Elected to IDEAlliance Board of Directors

New York, NY; March 8, 2006 – John Sweeney, vice president of sales and marketing for Integrated Color Solutions (ICS), was recently elected to serve on the board of directors for IDEAlliance. IDEAlliance is a not-for-profit membership organization that has been a leader in information technology and publishing since 1966. The organization works to advance core information technology and to develop standards and best practices to enhance efficiency and speed information across all facets of publishing. The latest inductees to the board of directors, including Sweeney, are a reflection of the IDEAlliance philosophy and an indication that the organization’s dedication remains strong. “We are grateful to have the expertise and the talent of the 2006 IDEAlliance board of directors,” says David J. Steinhardt, CEO of IDEAlliance. “The IDEAlliance membership is composed of individuals with diversified interests that find synergy in applying new technologies to advance seamless end-to-end business processes.” Sweeney, who’s served in his current capacity with ICS since 2004, is a vocal proponent of industry standards, digital workflow and automation. Prior to joining ICS, Sweeney worked for Graphic Microsystems, Inc. (GMI), a manufacturer of closed-loop color control systems for the pressroom, as director or color measurement systems. Sweeney joined GMI in 1998, after serving as vice president of the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) in Pittsburgh, Penn. In addition to his new position with IDEAlliance, Sweeney serves on a number of organizations, including the Board of Directors for SWOP, Inc. and the CIP4 Advisory Board. Sweeney is also a member of the GRACoL and SNAP committees and acts as Vice President, Pressroom, and Executive Committee member of the R&E Council of NAPL.
