Onyx Graphics Announces Management Appointments

SALT LAKE CITY, March 2 -- Onyx Graphics, Inc. announced today it has named two individuals to fill new management positions. Bill Bieger has been named Director of Business Development and is responsible for identifying and developing new market opportunities. Carol Hendrycks has been appointed to the position of Marketing Director and is responsible for developing and implementing branding and market strategies, marketing programs and communications. In addition, Dean Derhak, previously Product Marketing Director, will have the new assignment of OEM and Product Director where he will more closely manage the relationships with key printer partners. Bill Bieger, Director of Business Development Bill Bieger comes to Onyx from X-Rite, Incorporated, where he served as Global Accounts Manager for Imaging products and was responsible for developing sales opportunities for X-Rite products. He also held progressive sales and sales management positions at X-Rite during earlier employment at the company. Prior to his most recent appointment at X-Rite, Bieger was the Channel Manager for BestColor USA, EFI's Graphic Arts Division. He has also held sales management positions at Gretag Macbeth and Eastman Kodak Company. Bieger holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Northern Kentucky University. He reports to Neil Baker, Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Support. Carol Hendrycks, Marketing Director Carol Hendrycks joins Onyx from Deployment Partners, Inc. and Managed Planet, where she was the Marketing Manager responsible for developing communication objectives and key messages, and implementing plans to support channel and direct sales. Prior to that, Hendrycks owned a marketing consulting business where she managed various projects for several high technology companies. The scope of her work included developing and implementing worldwide marketing and brand strategy programs and campaigns; content messaging and web development; supporting field sales and channel partners; and managing marketing events. She has also held marketing management positions at Plantronics, Borland International and LSI Logic. Hendrycks holds a bachelor's degree in graphic design from San Jose State University. She reports to Walter Noot, President and CEO. Dean Derhak, OEM and Product Director Dean Derhak started at Onyx Graphics in 1995, and has held positions within the company in product management, marketing, sales, engineering and technical support. In his new role, he works with the Onyx OEM team to manage relationships with printer partners by coordinating joint development of production workflow models, software update procedures, escalation procedures and software training. Derhak also retains his function as Product Director, a position he has held since 2000. He has 20 years experience in computer- related technologies with positions in computer sales, development and design, in addition to managing his own Internet consulting business. Derhak holds a bachelor's degree in communication with an emphasis in electronic media from the University of Utah. He reports to Walter Noot, President and CEO.
