DGNonline Expands Services, Changes Name

Press release from the issuing company

NEW YORK, NY, DGNonline, which debuted in February at Seybold Boston 2000, today announced that it is changing its name to Convoq and expanding the online services available through its portal, www.convoq.com. The new services were introduced along with the name change at Seybold San Francisco last week. Convoq is an application service provider and collaborative workplace for the graphic arts community, offering a wide range of Web-enabled, hosted solutions designed to help printers, publishers, prepress firms, and ad agencies better serve their clients and differentiate themselves from their competition. "Our ASP technologies have attracted a select group of international application developers, enabling us to expand our offerings," says Nick Lombardi, chairman and CEO, who co-founded DGNonline with Jim McGinnis, president, and COO. "We remain committed to providing the graphic arts industry with efficient, streamlined workflow solutions and collaborative applications that deliver the highest level of service possible." In addition to alliances with PSI Net and Group Logic, Convoq recently signed a technology partnership agreement with Shira Computers Ltd. This agreement allows users of Shira's new eP2 Online prepress workflow system to prepare and move files and folders between locations using Convoq TransferManager and to proof documents in real-time using Convoq TeamProof. The agreement also allows Convoq users to access the eP2 workflow system through the Convoq portal. "We are changing our name to Convoq because it better communicates our corporate vision and because the word has a significant meaning-'to come together or to summon,'" says McGinnis. "We feel Convoq is a more appropriate name to describe the collaborative online workplace we are building. Our goal is to be the Extranet of choice for the graphic arts industry." Designed to be the global workplace for the graphic arts industry, the Convoq ASP framework of hosted applications allows graphic arts professionals to collaborateand communicate in a flexible, cost-effective manner. Convoq streamlines communications between firms, and cuts the technology costs associated with supporting a digital community. It also facilitates information sharing and interaction between graphic arts professionals, regardless of time or distance.
