Press release from the issuing company

Ghent, Belgium & Los Angeles, CA – February 28, 2006 – Enfocus, the leading provider of PDF workflow tools, announces that former Time, Inc. production workflow expert Erik Cullins has joined the company as director of sales and marketing for North America. In this position, Cullins is responsible for overseeing customer service, product marketing, and sales and distribution in North America for Enfocus’ award-winning PDF solutions including PitStop Professional, the entire Certified PDF workflow suite, and new PitStop Automate. Cullins brings substantial experience in graphic arts production workflow and digital development. At Time, Inc., in particular, he was instrumental in overseeing the publication’s migration of all ad delivery to PDF/X-1a. “A vocal proponent of PDF adoption and integration, Erik was one of our primary contacts at Time, Inc., an Enfocus and Artwork Systems customer, for many years. Our confidence that he will make a perfect addition to our management team is based on this close relationship as well as our knowledge of his considerable leadership and management abilities,” says Patrick van Dam, executive vice president, Enfocus. “I’m energized by the privilege of joining this great company. Enfocus impressed me as a customer, and continues to impress the whole industry by consistently developing first class, on-the-mark technologies that simply make sense for quality graphic arts enterprises,” says Cullins. “I’m looking forward to being a part of the excitement and bringing all I can to the table.” At Time, Inc. Cullins last served as associate director of digital development. As a corporate workflow expert, Cullins was responsible for helping design, implement, and support editorial and advertising workflows for all Time, Inc. and partner magazines. Cullins served as project leader on Time, Inc.’s large corporate initiatives such as its XML-based advertising transaction system, publishing management system, centralized advertising/editorial workflows, virtual proofing, and its on-line advertising portal. Cullins first joined Time, Inc. as field operations manager responsible for the printing operations of its West Coast printers. Prior to that, Cullins worked for QuebecorWorld as group supervisor, prepress; co-managing a 60-person prepress team at one of the company’s printing plants. Cullins is a frequent speaker at industry events such as MacWorld, Vue/Point, Print Workflow Summit, PIA/GATF, DDAP Conference, Digital Ad Lab, Spectrum, Seybold and the PrintMedia Expo. Cullins is also an active participant in a number of industry organizations. Key positions include: DDAP Executive Committee; Chair of IdeAlliance SPACE/XML Working Group; Co-Chair of CIP4 Advertising Working Group; AdsML Steering Committee; and CGATS PDF/X Task Force. Now with Enfocus, Cullins is also looking forward to contributing to the Ghent PDF Workgroup (GWG). Cullins holds a B.S. in Graphic Communication from California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly). He is now based in Enfocus’ Los Angeles office and can be reached at erikc@enfocus.com.
