New Prepress Production Solutions To Be Showcased At AmericaEast Exhibition

Press release from the issuing company

February 28, 2006. Portland, OR -- Fusion Systems International is pleased to announce their participation as an exhibitor (Booth 64) at the annual AmericaEast Newspaper Conference, March 27-29, in Hershey, PA. New product highlights include Fusion's Workflow ESP, fully automated post-RIP imposition, a browser-based Print Production Manager, and advanced Remote Client Soft-Proofing. Fusion Systems International is a leading provider of scalable RIP and prepress workflow technologies, and has been providing integrated solutions for over 15 years. Fusion's Workflow ESP incorporates template-based naming, advanced true-page numbering and open-scriptable processing to enable dynamic prepress automation. Workflow ESP will be demonstrated in conjunction with the Fusion RIP and DigiPage ROOM plug-in to fully automate Post-RIP page-pairing and output. Template-based naming facilitates automated workflows across platform operating systems and open applications. Advanced true-page numbering ensures the accuracy of imposition lists and multi-section page-pairing, especially critical throughout correction cycles. Post process scripting provides easy automation of different prepress. Workflow ESP is open, user-configurable, and available for Windows, OS X, and Linux-based Harlequin RIPs. The new Fusion Print Production Manager is an eloquent means for controlling and monitoring production processes such as preflight, imposition, trapping, color management, RIP and proofing, film setting or plating. Print Production Manager provides an easy-to-use browser-based graphic interface for monitoring production processes to keep work moving on time to completion. PPM covers three critical elements of job process control: queue management, job control and real-time status information. Extended ROAM capabilities allow up to five LAN client workstations to preview raster data prior to output. More extensive raster soft-proofing capabilities will be demonstrated using the latest release of FirstPROOF, a client-based application that allows raster data to be soft-proofed from any workstation on the network. FirstPROOF allows users to remotely view and approve output from multiple RIPs prior to imaging. Advanced features include plate merging, plate deletion, fast selectable image magnification, verification of maximum and minimum ink limits and much more.
