Heidelberg USA Announces New Product Installation Report

KENNESAW, Ga. - February 28, 2006 - Heidelberg USA announces the following sample of new product installations: The Business Press Increases Speed with Printmaster PM 52 Press from Heidelberg The Business Press, based in Schiller Park, Ill., recently installed a five-color Printmaster PM 52 press with perfector from Heidelberg to increase efficiency and upgrade technology. The PM 52 compliments the shop's existing Heidelberg equipment, including two Printmaster QM-46 presses. The shop uses the new press to produce an assortment of materials, such as mailers, brochures and four-color booklets. Since the installation, the shop has reported faster turnaround times due to the speed and versatility of the press. Founded in 1980, The Business Press is a family-owned and operated general commercial printer housing 12 employees. The shop serves a wide variety of clients, including non-profit organizations, publishing companies, churches and real estate agencies. Citiprint Enters Four-Color Market with Quickmaster QM DI Press from Heidelberg Citiprint of Allentown, Pa., recently entered the four-color market with the installation of a Quickmaster QM DI Pro press from Heidelberg. The new press is being used to produce stationery, postcards, newsletters, annual reports, envelopes and other general commercial materials. Since the recent installation, the shop has attracted new customers and increased its productivity. Citiprint, a subsidiary of Valley Business Services, is a family-owned and operated general commercial printer. The shop opened in the fall of 2004 and brought in annual revenue of more than $1 million in 2005. Citiprint services a client base of local and regional customers, including local colleges and universities, small businesses, graphic design houses and print brokers. Corporate Graphics, Inc. Transitions to CtP Technology with Prosetter 74 SCL Corporate Graphics, Inc., located in Hillsborough, N.J., recently transitioned from film processing to computer-to-plate (CtP) technology with the installation of a Prosetter 74 SCL platesetter from Heidelberg. The new Prosetter allows the all-Heidelberg shop to expedite job turnaround times while lowering costs. With the recent installation, Corporate Graphics also purchased a Heidelberg consumables package. The privately-owned commercial print shop caters to a local client base that includes pharmaceutical companies and investment banks. Established in 1991, Corporate Graphics is a full-service print facility, offering digital high speed copying, high-end sheetfed offset printing, bindery and fulfillment capabilities. Data Print Increases Productivity with Printmaster QM 46 Press from Heidelberg Data Print, a business forms manufacturer based in Amarillo, Texas, recently expanded its capabilities to include general commercial printing with the installation a two-color Printmaster QM 46 press from Heidelberg. Since the installation, the shop reports improved quality of work in addition to increased efficiencies from the new equipment's easy operation. The QM 46 also has doubled the number of business forms the shop produces per shift. Founded in 1978, Data Print is a locally-owned wholesale trade printer housing 20 employees. The shop services regional and national clients in the medical, automotive and manufacturing industries. The EGT Group Adds Press, Postpress Equipment to All-Heidelberg Shop The EGT Group, Inc., based in Madison Heights, Mich., recently installed a four-color Speedmaster SM 102 press with perfector and coater from Heidelberg to increase productivity and update technology. The shop also installed two Stahlfolder TH 82 folders from Heidelberg to expand its offerings and increase capacity in the bindery. The EGT Group uses the new press to produce an assortment of commercial work and runs primarily eight- and 16-page signature work on the new TH 82 folders. Founded in 1976, The EGT Group is a general commercial printer housing 135 employees. The shop services advertising agencies and a wide variety of clients in the automotive, healthcare and insurance industries. Embassy Press Improves Quality with POLAR 66 Cutter from Heidelberg Embassy Press, Inc., located in Plano, Texas, recently installed a POLAR 66 high-speed cutter from Heidelberg to increase efficiency and update technology in the shop. Since the installation, the shop reports improvements in accuracy and measuring consistency due to the cutter's high levels of automation as well as improved quality. The new POLAR 66 compliments the shop's four-color Printmaster QM DI 46 press from Heidelberg. Founded in 1998, Embassy Press primarily produces sales literature for the homebuilding trade. Fowler Printing & Graphics Installs Speedmaster CD 74 Press from Heidelberg Fowler Printing & Graphics, located in Randolph, Mass., has increased productivity and efficiency with the recent installation of a six-color Speedmaster CD 74 press with perfector and coater from Heidelberg. The new press has expanded the shop's capabilities to include perfecting on coated stock, and the all-Heidelberg pressroom now is attracting new customers and business opportunities. Fowler Printing uses an assortment of Heidelberg consumables products on the new CD 74, including Perfect Dot blankets, rollers and ink fountain foils. Founded in 1963, Fowler Printing & Graphics is a specialty print shop that produces business materials for a variety of clients, including banks, private schools and mid-size manufacturers. Hummel Printing Increases Productivity with POLAR 137 XT Cutter from Heidelberg Hummel Printing, located in Union, N.J., recently added its second POLAR 137 XT high-speed cutter from Heidelberg to increase capacity and speed in the bindery. The all-Heidelberg shop installed the new cutter to compliment its press equipment, which includes two six-color Speedmaster SM 102 presses and a four-color Printmaster GTO 52. Since the installation, the company has noted faster turnaround times and increased productivity. Founded in 1884, Hummel Printing is a fourth generation family-owned and operated general commercial printer. With 50 employees, the shop services a variety of clients, including advertising agencies and political organizations. Impressions Printing Increases Production with New Bindery Equipment from Heidelberg Impressions Printing, based in Oklahoma City, Okla., recently added a POLAR 92 X high-speed cutter and a USA B 20 Stahlfolder from Heidelberg to meet customer demand for high quality. The new bindery equipment complements an existing Printmaster PM 52 press. Since the installations, Impressions Printing reports increases in cutting capacity and expanded folding capabilities. The shop uses the new equipment to finish a variety of materials, including price tags, business cards, brochures, postcards and posters. Founded in 1996, Impressions Printing is a general commercial printer housing 28 employees. The shop services primarily local clients, including universities, insurance companies, financial institutions and churches. Master Print Increases Productivity with Speedmaster SM 52 Press from Heidelberg Master Print, located in Newington, Va., recently installed a five-color Speedmaster SM 52 press with perfector and coater from Heidelberg to upgrade technology and increase speed. The shop uses the new press to produce the bulk of its cover work and short-run flyer work. Since the installation, Master Print reports increases in productivity and efficiency with faster makeready times. The new SM 52 compliments the shop's seven existing Heidelberg presses, including five Speedmaster SM 102 presses, a Speedmaster CD 102 press and a Printmaster PM 52 press. McCann Printing Improves Quality with Speedmaster CD 74 Press McCann Printing, based in Springfield, Mo., recently installed a five-color Speedmaster CD 74 with coater from Heidelberg to increase productivity. Since the installation, the shop reports improved quality and faster makeready times due to the CD 74's ease of operation and high levels of automation. McCann Printing uses the new press to produce a variety of materials, including agency work, brochures, pamphlets and production sheets. The shop uses Heidelberg consumables products, including Perfect Dot blankets and wash-up blades. Piccadilly Printing Installs New Press, Postpress Equipment from Heidelberg The Piccadilly Printing Company, located in Wincester, Va., recently installed a two-color Printmaster QM 46 press and a POLAR 78 X high-speed cutter from Heidelberg to upgrade technology. Since the installation, the shop reports improved quality and increased production due to the new press' larger sheet size. In addition, the new cutter has increased efficiency in the shop's bindery. Piccadilly Printing uses the new equipment to produce a wide variety of two- and four-color materials, including brochures, annual reports, stationery packages and pamphlets. Founded in 1984, The Piccadilly Printing Company is a family-owned and operated general commercial printer housing nine employees. The shop services a local client base, which includes Fortune 500 companies, construction businesses, hospitals and legal practices. Progressive Printing Installs Prepress, Workflow Solutions from Heidelberg Progressive Printing, located in Martinburg, W.V., recently added Heidelberg's Prosetter 52 computer-to-plate system to its shop to eliminate film processing and improve quality. The all-Heidelberg shop also installed Prinect MetaDimension to streamline workflow and reduce plate production time. The new equipment has increased productivity and reduced makeready times. With the recent installation, Progressive Printing also purchased a Heidelberg consumables package, which includes Saphira Violet plates and chemistry. Founded in 1995, Progressive Printing serves local and regional clients in the graphic arts, manufacturing and healthcare industries. The family-owned and operated general commercial printer houses seven employees. Trilogy Graphics Improves Quality with Stitchmaster ST 270 Stitcher from Heidelberg Trilogy Graphics, based in Cinnaminson, N.J., recently installed a Stitchmaster ST 270 saddlestitcher from Heidelberg to increase speed in the bindery. With the new stitcher, the shop has produced more than 1.5 million materials such as books and magazines, since Jan. 1, 2006. Trilogy Graphics also uses the new equipment to finish other materials such as financial books and pocket folders with eight- and 16-page signatures. Since the installation, the shop has noted increased productivity and improved quality within the bindery. Founded in 1986, Trilogy Graphics is a family-owned and operated general commercial printer housing 30 employees. The shop services a regional client base that includes print brokers, advertising agencies and financial institutions.
