EDB in Norway Reports High Satisfaction with Exstream Software's Dialogue

Press release from the issuing company

Exstream Software, Inc. today announced positive reports from EDB IT Operations, a leading centre of expertise for the development and operation of IT solutions in the Nordic region of Europe. With approximately 3,400 employees and presence in all major cities of Norway and Sweden, EDB initially selected Exstream’s Dialogue software to develop more sophisticated document applications that included personalisation and colour. Additionally, EDB wanted to upgrade to an industry standard solution that would meet its future business needs. Using Dialogue, EDB reports significant savings in document development time, testing and reprinting costs. Further savings have been realised with Dialogue’s robust barcode functionality, which eliminated the need for EDB’s post-processing software. Key drivers in the company’s selection of Dialogue included it’s capabilities to produce any type of sophisticated personalised document—such as detailed statements with graphs, advice letters, insurance policies, conditions, invoices, and other documents. Additionally, EDB chose Dialogue to further its relationships with customers by using the software’s remote design capabilities for document collaboration. Once implemented, EDB found that Dialogue’s support for a large number of different input and output formats made it possible to grow its customer base even further. This was additionally bolstered by Dialogue's flexibility to handle a number of complex application requirements, as well as its modular architecture which allows EDB to add more functionality as needs arise. "Dialogue is a solution for today’s needs as well as tomorrow’s," said Torkel Amundsen, department manager of IT Services for EDB. "Using Dialogue, we have easily integrated customized business logic and processes into our client’s applications—something that would not have been possible using our previous software. And, with the help of Dialogue’s PDF output capabilities, our customers have benefited significantly in faster turn-around from us. So far, things have worked out perfectly." Looking to the future, EDB plans to use Dialogue with remote clients to more fully support their administrative workflow processes. The company also plans to deploy Dialogue's compliance capabilities for regulatory support and version control in insurance document applications. "Choosing new software is not just a matter of money,” said Kjell Beisland, managing director of Exstream Nordic. “We make sure that we operate as business partners with our customers, offering continuous support and information about new Dialogue capabilities and business opportunities. We are very pleased about the success EDB has realised using Dialogue, both internally and for their customers.”
