RR Donnelley Awarded Multi-Year Printing Contract With Verizon Directories Corp.

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO, Feb. 16 -- R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company and Verizon Directories Corp. have extended a multi-year agreement pursuant to which RR Donnelley will now print 100 percent of Verizon Directories Corp.'s directories for North America. The deal expands the current relationship of the companies to include the work produced in Verizon's Los Angeles, Calif. and Des Plaines, Ill. facilities. Mark A. Angelson, Chief Executive Officer, RR Donnelley, said, "We are pleased that our performance has earned RR Donnelley the opportunity to expand our relationship with Verizon Communications Corporation. This agreement illustrates the value of RR Donnelley's diverse platform. From directories to document-based business process outsourcing services, we are able to help organizations such as Verizon leverage their requirements across the breadth of the print-related supply chain." Kathy Harless, President of Verizon Information Services stated, "Changes in printing technology are moving so quickly and require so much investment that it makes more sense to work with a supplier whose primary business is printing -- especially since printing here is in support of our core yellow pages business. We look forward to the benefits associated with extending our relationship and working together as our directories continue to evolve."
