Manchester, CT – February 15, 2006 - Scan-Optics, LLC, an internationally acknowledged innovator and provider of information capture and recognition solutions, today announced Jeffrey O’Brien has joined the company’s management team as vice president of sales. Mr. O’Brien brings over 20 years of business development experience in the document processing and business process outsourcing (BPO) markets. During his career, Mr. O’Brien has worked extensively in consultative sales roles, developing product and services offerings for the manufacturing, healthcare, financial, and transportation markets. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University. “I am confident that I’ve found the right person to head up our direct and indirect sales organizations,” said Paul Yantus, president and CEO of Scan-Optics. “Jeff brings a tremendous amount of relevant experience to the company and we are glad to have him onboard.” Prior to Scan-Optics, Mr. O’Brien has held several senior management positions with EDS, Lason Systems, Inc., and most recently Edmond Scientific, a systems integrator servicing the government and commercial markets. During his 20-year career, he has been involved in roles with increasing levels of responsibility spanning sales, marketing, business development and consultative engagements. In his new role with Scan-Optics, Mr. O’Brien will oversee both direct sales and channel partners, reporting directly to Mr. Yantus.
