Two Rapida 106 eight-color presses for Alfa Print

Press release from the issuing company

(June 03, 2008) Alfa Print on the outskirts of Stockholm has evolved into one of the biggest sheetfed operations in Sweden. And soon two more presses will swell its fleet: yesterday president Olle Neckman and managing director Lars Adolfsson signed a contract on the KBA stand for two Rapida 106 eight-colour perfector presses for 4 over 4.

These will not only expand capacity at the company's production plant, which primarily prints commercials for Swedish industry, but will also introduce cutting-edge technology into the press room. Both presses will sport QualiTronic Professional inline quality control, DriveTronic SPC simultaneous plate-changing, sidelay-free infeed and an array of other unique features. The first press is scheduled to ship at the end of the year, the second in spring 2009.

Alfa Print won Sweden's "Bästa Tryk" (Best Print) award a few weeks ago for the outstanding quality of its printed products, and a silver medal at the Printer of the Year Award is another of the company's recent accomplishments. Alfa Print's posts annual sales of around €30 million ($46.6m) with a payroll of just under 100.
