Printfest: Exhibitors Line Up To Showcase Latest Innovations

Press release from the issuing company

TUSTIN, Calif., (Feb. 8, 2006) -- Set to attract everyone from small to large commercial printers as well as creative professionals, exhibitor interest in PrintFest 2006 -- the only Southern California printing conference and expo -- continues to build. PrintFest 2006 features an educational conference that will begin on May 11 and continue concurrently with the expo on May 12-13 at the Long Beach Convention Center. More than 100 exhibiting companies will showcase traditional and digital printing products and solutions. The innovative solutions offered by exhibitors are designed to help printers operate their businesses more efficiently and increase their profitability, which is the primary theme and focus of PrintFest 2006. "PrintFest 2006 is the perfect venue for us to launch the West Coast premiere of The Advantage, our new perforating, scoring, slitting and numbering machine specifically designed for the digital printing market," said Larry Corwin, president of Rollem Corporation of America." This fully integrated system will allow the printer to conduct multiple functions at once saving both time and operating costs. They'll be amazed at how much this product can help their businesses, and we can't wait to demo it to them for the first time at PrintFest 2006." At the show, exhibitor ExactBind West will give printers a step by step tutorial on how to create Books on Demand. By adding this valuable new service, printers can improve the utilization of printing equipment they may already have and increase their margins and revenue output. "One of the ways the printers can improve profitability is by migrating to digital technologies and adding the creation of Books on Demand to their current offerings," said Tom Carpenter, president and CEO of ExactBind West. "Books on Demand is one the largest business opportunities available within the digital printing industry. We look forward to showing printers this creative and profitable process at a show focused on helping them improve and build their businesses. It's a great match and we look forward to a successful show." Duplo USA Corporation, a manufacturer of finishing equipment, chose to participate in PrintFest 2006 because of its Southern California location. At the show, Duplo will launch a new table top air vacuum folder geared toward heaver paper stock printing, as well as showcase their new collating booklet making systems for both offline printers and digital printers. These products automate the booklet making process by reducing the set up time required on older, traditional systems. "PrintFest is the Southern California show we have been waiting for to educate our local customers about many of our new products," said Si Nguyen marketing manager for Duplo USA Corporation. "We're looking forward to this great opportunity and couldn't have asked for a better location." PrintFest 2006 hopes to challenge companies to define their company's current state in order to chart a future growth path using both traditional and digital printing technologies. "West Coast print providers have always led the way in adopting digital technologies as a strategy to further their business goals. That is why we are excited to show our line of chemistry-free, digital imaging solutions at PrintFest 2006," said Peter A. Bouchard, vice president of marketing for Presstek, Inc. The company will be demonstrating the Kodak DirectPress 5634 DI press, based on Presstek technology, as well as the Presstek Vector TX52 Thermal CTP System, and the Presstek Dimension 425 Excel Thermal CTP System. Presstek's digital solutions are designed to increase productivity, profitability and reduce costs within the short-run 4-color printing market. In addition to the strong support from dealers, service providers and vendors such as Presstek, Rollem Corporation, ExactBind West, and Duplo USA, PrintFest 2006 has secured the sponsorship support of 25 publications, and a wide array of influential industry associations including the Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF), International Association of Printing House Craftsman (IAPHC), all five Western U.S. PIA/GATF affiliates, and the Southern California chapters of the Direct Marketing Association (DMAsc) and Xplor International.
