Kodak's Graphic Communications Group to Provide Digital Image Rich Publishing Services for 2006 Olympic Games

TORINO, Italy, February 2 -- Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group will provide image rich digital photo publishing services for the TORINO 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Italy. Kodak, a long-standing Olympic Sponsor with support dating back to the first Modern Olympic Games held in 1896, serves as the Official Imaging Sponsor of the Olympic Games. Kodak’s Graphic Communications Group will play a key role in the production of materials that feature image-rich and variable data content at the Games. Kodak will operate a NEXPRESS 2100 press and a KODAK 1200i wide format printer in a print-on-demand center to meet the demand for high quality digital color publishing. The Graphic Communications Group’s activities include: •Providing on-site image-rich publishing services to meet the needs of the accredited photojournalists covering the Games. Using the award winning KODAK NEXPRESS 2100 digital production color press and the KODAK 1200i wide format printing system, Kodak will produce customized postcard-sized and poster-sized photo prints of key images of the Games for display purposes. •Various Olympic committees and Games Sponsors will use Kodak’s suite of imaging and photo publishing services throughout the Games. Kodak will print Opening Ceremony photos and other image related items on the NEXPRESS 2100 press.
