PrintStaff opens new office in San Diego to serve local printers and graphic organizations

Press release from the issuing company

Boston, MA – February 3, 2006 – PrintStaff, the leading placement firm for skilled help in the graphic arts and printing industry, announces it has opened its newest office in San Diego, CA. The office will serve print, copy and digital media demands throughout the greater metropolitan area, providing all companies solutions for ‘temp’ and ‘temp to hire’ positions as well as executive and professional direct hire and contingency searches. In the process, PrintStaff has agreed on a separate cost-savings program for PIA/SD members to find temporary workers and hire full-time employees. Based on similar programs throughout the country, PrintStaff's skilled, experienced employees will be available in all areas of printing and graphics, including prepress, press, bindery, and customer service, ready to help companies for virtually any length of time. PIA/SD members can reap two benefits with this alliance: high quality service and the PIA/SD member discount program: 5% off Flex Staffing rates (for short- or long-term, skilled workers when needed); 10% off Flex-to-Hire rates (for a candidate trial period before making a hiring decision); and 10% off Direct Hire rates (for key employee search and placement). PIA/SD members can establish a PrintStaff account directly through the PrintStaff San Diego office. Meanwhile, PrintStaff has selected Brian Lancia to staff and manage the new office, supervised by Robert Stallons, PrintStaff Southern California regional manager. Brian, a graduate of Bryant College, has most recently been an account manager and recruiter for PrintStaff in both their Boston and Costa Mesa offices. In these roles, he placed skilled candidates in commercial print, quick copy, and digital design companies. Clients have commended him for delivering excellent customer service. Brian came to PrintStaff from Spherion in Boston, where he was an account manager placing candidates in administrative roles on a temporary/full-time basis. He has also worked as a technical staffing specialist at the Professional Staffing Group, specializing in IT, engineering, production, manufacturing, and distribution placements. He began his career at Verizon DMC in sales and customer service, and Messmer Associates as a senior recruiter. “PrintStaff is excited to enhance its presence in Southern California by opening in San Diego. While we know our services have benefited companies of all kinds, we believe our programs will appeal to members of the PIA/SD. It’s why, as an incentive, we are offering discounts to them,” comments David Regan, PrintStaff CEO. “We know from his past accomplishments that Brian Lancia will be successful in his new role. He has demonstrated that he understands the requirements of printers, and has the administrative skills to maintain a thriving presence in San Diego.”
