New Kompac Product: Kompac Kwik Koat

Fairfield, NJ – January 2006 - Kompac announces the release of the new Kompac Kwik Koat. Its patented metering control applies aqueous coating directly to the blanket in an even and precise film without the use of the ink train. With minimal start up costs, the Kompac Kwik Koat allows the printer to increase profits and provide extra value and higher quality to their customers printed materials. “Coating has become one of the fastest growing additions to the printer’s offering. Koating provides enhanced finishes and durability to the printed piece. Brochures, postcards, folders and other printed materials can resist scuffing or marking from bindery, shipping and mailing… Kompac’s Kwik Koat offers a quick, and versatile coating process from a patented proven system” said Tom Hayes, General Manager of Kompac. The new Kompac Kwik Koat easily installs on press in minutes for standard Kompac Dampening System users. The Kompac Kwik Koat feeds aqueous coating from the bottle and does not require the inker rollers to be engaged to operate. Clean up is simple and easy with just plain water. Returning to standard printing is also kwik and easy. The Kompac Kwik Koat can also be retrofitted to conventional, DDS or Alcolor systems. Just like the Automatic Dampening system, coating is “Simply Automatic” with the Kompac Kwik Koat.
