InfoTrends/CAP Ventures to Retire CAP Ventures Name

Press release from the issuing company

Weymouth, MA. (January 24, 2006)—InfoTrends, the leading worldwide market research and strategic consulting firm for the digital imaging and document solutions industry, today announced the retirement of the CAP Ventures name, transitioning the firm to the future by consolidating multiple brands under the name InfoTrends. The company continues to diversify its services to better serve its clients as major industry trends and new opportunities change their day-to-day information and consulting needs. As a result, and due to the expansion, evolution, and diversification over the years, InfoTrends has decided to change its name to better reflect the services, scope, and worldwide consulting it provides. “About four years ago, we purchased InfoTrends and combined the companies,” commented Charles A. Pesko, Managing Director at InfoTrends. Mr. Pesko went on to state, “We always intended to change the name, and, as we kicked off 2006, the timing was right to make the full transition and better reflect what we do for the industry.” In 2002, the company acquired InfoTrends Research Group, a consulting firm that tracks the digital photography, Internet imaging, image processing, and scanning markets. The acquisition allowed CAP Ventures to expand its services portfolio and geographical footprint, and to solidify its position as a leader in the business communications and consumer imaging markets. InfoTrends offers a broad range of market research and strategic consulting services covering a variety of industries, technologies, services, and applications. Providing market forecasts, primary research, and industry expertise, InfoTrends assists technology vendors and service providers in improving their market position, understanding industry trends, identifying new business opportunities, and assessing customer needs. InfoTrends also supports major corporations through a range of document assessment services, consulting, and modeling, which helps clients to reduce costs, optimize technologies, improve processes, and develop effective document strategies.
