Sun Chemical Latin America to showcase new sheetfed, narrow-web inks at Graphics of Americas

Press release from the issuing company

NORTHLAKE, IL - January 18, 2006 - Sun Chemical Latin America (SCLA) will feature its new WideStar sheetfed inks at the upcoming Graphics of the Americas, to be held Feb. 3-5 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, FL. The Latin American group also will be rolling out Sun Chemical’s Solaris brand of inks and coatings for narrow web printing. The WideStar inks were formulated and are produced in South America to meet local requirements. These offset inks feature excellent transfer and ink-water balance, with stability needed for high-speed printing, according to Jim Cunningham, vice president, Sun Chemical Latin America. He added that WideStar inks set quickly to reduce drying time and improve rub resistance, allowing printers to reduce use of anti-setoff powders. WideStar inks offer exceptional gloss and can be used on a variety of substrates and press types. Recently, Sun Chemical launched Solaris as its global brand for inks and other products used in narrow-web printing – especially for production of labels. Solaris includes a wide variety of inks from water-based to UV flexo to screen inks, employing the latest technology available worldwide from Sun Chemical. SCLA now offers these Solaris products, and is backing them with knowledgeable service provided by dedicated local technicians. “Graphics of the Americas is an excellent forum for Sun Chemical Latin America to introduce these new products and services,” Cunningham said. “As market leaders in the ink industry, we are eager to showcase these innovative products which will help our Latin American customers be more competitive.” Please visit Sun Chemical Latin America at Booth #801, near the entrance of Hall B at Graphics of the Americas.
