Sun Chemical Names Brian Leen President of North American Inks

PARSIPPANY, NJ − June 2, 2008 − Sun Chemical named Brian Leen president, North American Inks. In this role, Leen will oversee all of Sun Chemical’s North American inks businesses including: Kohl & Madden, Rycoline, US Ink, and North American Packaging.

“Brian is a great leader, motivator and strategist who knows how to create cooperation between internal business units that best benefits our customers. He also has the right management capabilities to help Sun Chemical address increases in raw material prices,” said Rudi Lenz, CEO, Sun Chemical.  “I am confident that Brian will continue to help Sun Chemical’s North American ink business and our customers prosper.”

In addition to his responsibilities as president of North American Inks, Leen will also assume the interim role of president of North American Packaging.

Leen has worked within Sun Chemical’s pigment division for 18 years and most recently served as general manager and vice president of Performance Pigments. His strategic marketing framework using the tagline “Solutions Tailor Made™” helped the Performance Pigments business grow by focusing on the individual needs and requests of each customer.

Leen sits on the board of directors with the Color Pigments Manufacturers Association, Inc. and KVK Denmark. He earned an executive master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from the University of Kentucky. Leen also graduated from the Columbia Graduate School of Business’ Executive Sales Management Program.
