Agfa to Feature New Digital Solutions Suite at Adobe's First "Momentum in Print" Event

Press release from the issuing company

Ridgefield Park, NJ – January 19, 2006 – Agfa Graphics announced today that printers who are looking to improve automation and their relationships with their customers should see Agfa's Digital Solutions Suite users at the inaugural Momentum in Print 2006 conference, presented by long-time Agfa partner, Adobe. At the event, being held January 22 - 24 at the San Francisco Marriott, in the Print Sponsor Showcase, attendees will be able to get demonstrations of Agfa's :Delano, and its Web Approval soft-proofing module. Agfa digital system product specialists will be on hand to explain the newest productivity tools available in the Digital Solutions Suite - including :Apogee X 2.5, :Delano and :Arcadia, Agfa's dynamic asset management solution. Two of Agfa's recent Digital Solutions Suite users will each be speaking on two panels. Christy Miners of Democrat Printing (Little Rock, AR) and Kevin Kalagher of Finlay Printing (Bloomfield, CT) will discuss the impact of Agfa's :Delano production management solution to their businesses and their efforts in reaching out to a market in change. “:Delano is a very robust system that is helping us advance our automation efforts,” said Miners, digital prepress supervisor, Democrat Printing. ”Most of our older equipment did an excellent job, but our business simply outgrew it. We were in need of equipment that could handle new challenges—transparencies, increased volume of files and a growing need to turn them out super-fast. :ApogeeX fit those requirements.” “As a long-time customer, we have always looked to Agfa for solutions and what's next. With our vision focused on the benefits and competitive edge that a JDF environment will give us, choosing Agfa's Graphic Enterprise suite of :ApogeeX, :Delano and :Arcadia was a perfect fit. Incorporating the :ApogeeX PDF workflow with the power and versatility of the :Delano system will enhance both our production capabilities and our client interfacing. Adding :Arcadia to the mix gives our clients a more sophisticated approach to managing their images. This Agfa enterprise solution will keep us extremely competitive for years to come,” said Kevin Kalagher, CEO, Finlay Printing. Both Christy and Kevin are each participating on two panels at the event.
