Graphics of the Americas 2006 will be the worldwide debut of Fastbind's tabletop wide-format perfect binder

Press release from the issuing company

Jacksonville, FL – January 6, 2006 -- ExactBind, the North American distributor of Maping’s “Fastbind” on-demand binding solutions, announces the availability of a wide-format perfect binder. The “Elite XT” binder will be shown at Graphics of the Americas Show 2006 in Miami Beach, FL, February 3-5. The Elite XT will bind retail-quality hard and soft cover books as small as 3” x 3” or up to 12” x 17”. Graphics professionals, small publishers, scrapbookers, and photographers all have a need for on-demand and short-run custom binding jobs. “There is a growing market for custom books. According to our research, there is a tremendous on-demand book opportunity for printers. The potential in the scrapbooking and photography markets exceed $1.5 billion dollars.” said Frank Millis, President of ExactBind Corporation. “ExactBind entered the U.S. market for on-demand book making systems and solutions in 2002 in partnership with Maping. We may have been ahead of our time then, but the orders are increasing daily. Our printer customers are seeing new markets opening with substantial profitability. With Fastbind products, you can be profitable even on small jobs. You can start saying ‘yes’ to small custom jobs and stop outsourcing.” In addition to providing the tabletop rotary binders, ExactBind carries book making accessories such as the Casematic case maker, laminators, creasers, foil stampers, and shrink wrap machines. For a total profit solution, there is also a web-based book building system called “Rapid Publishing”. Rapid Publishing enables end-users such as realtors, churches and schools to create books without software, simply by connecting to the internet. The print jobs and then converted to pdf format and emailed to the appropriate printer who uses ExactBind equipment. At the Graphics of the Americas, ExactBind is a participant in the On-Demand Book Factory. Attendees will be able to see the Fastbind systems working in concert with digital printers and MBM paper cutters. Each attendee will receive an on-demand custom show notebook. ExactBind’s booths are near the Book Factory exit, Booth #184 and #185. Stop by for a demonstration and discover how to take advantage of new market and profit opportunities.
