Baldwin Technology Establishes New Subsidiary in Milan, Italy

Press release from the issuing company

SHELTON, Conn.--Jan. 18, 2006-- Baldwin Technology Company, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of printing press accessories and control equipment, announced today that it has established a new subsidiary, Baldwin Italy S.r.l., headquartered in Milan. The new sales and service branch will enable Baldwin to strengthen support to its Italian customers and expand its presence in the Italian market by vigorously pursuing new opportunities through local sales and service activities. Karl Puehringer, president and chief operating officer of Baldwin Technology, said, "Although we have enjoyed sales in the Italian market for years, we are pleased to formally begin local operations through our first Italian company. The Italian market represents a significant share of European graphic arts printing activities, and we are ready to pursue this market directly and aggressively. Our new subsidiary enables us to actively promote Baldwin's leading technology to Italian-based printers and publishers in a more direct and efficient way." Aldo Parodi and Martin Buttlar have been elected as managing directors of the new operation. Parodi was formerly with Macchingraf as product and sales manager of the Web System Division. Buttlar has been with Baldwin for more than three years and currently serves as managing director of the company's German subsidiary.
