Press release from the issuing company

PALO ALTO, Calif., January 17, 2006— HP today announced that Pantone has established a Partner Affiliate web site that provides HP Indigo digital press users with discounts on essential color-matching PANTONE products. The affiliate site, available in the US only and developed as a result of HP’s ongoing partnership with Pantone, Inc., provides reduced rates for the entire Pantone portfolio, with up to 25% off of selected PANTONE products. HP also announced the upcoming launch of HP Professional PANTONE Technology for the HP Indigo press 5000, which automates the simulation of PANTONE Colors with four-color process inks. It also ensures color-matching accuracy by using custom-built ICC profiles for specific printer and media combinations. “Our continued investment in the latest innovative PANTONE Color solutions allows us to provide HP Indigo users with the world’s most advanced on-press color matching capabilities,” said Alon Bar-Shany, vice president and general manager, Indigo Division, HP. “The result is that HP Indigo users can achieve up to 97% of PANTONE Colors and even mix their own brand colors using the HP IndiChrome Ink Mixing System.” The new HP Partner affiliate site, active as of January 16, 2006, provides HP Indigo users with PANTONE graphics products that integrate the PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM in their production operations. The PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM is a universally recognized standard for maintaining cross-media color accuracy and consistency.
