Dennis Publishing CMS project based on WoodWing’s publishing platform

Press release from the issuing company

Zaandam, The Netherlands (June 2nd, 2008) - Four magazines of Dennis Publishing are now being produced using WoodWing's Smart Connection Enterprise publishing platform -  PC Pro, Computer Shopper, Mac User and Auto Express. By the end of this year, this will be increased to over twenty titles, including The Week and Maxim. The project is handled by Evolved Media Solutions in the UK, and started in December 2007.

The new solution enables a streamlined, integrated and transparent production process. Content is searchable and available for web, licensing, syndication and re-use for other publications, such as the Bookazines that Dennis produces.

WoodWing's publishing platform is at the core of the solution. Its blended media content management and workflow functionality handles text, images, audio, video and more. The open architecture enables tight integration with existing Dennis systems and additional solution components:

• TELL's TIMONE System, the digital flat planning tool, fully integrated with the Dennis ad booking system.
• Dutchsoftware's NetPublishEnterprise, the content archiving solution.
• DXML, a custom content commissioning tool, based on Dennis design and requirements and jointly developed by Dennis and EMS. Commissions can be sent to both internal and external journalists. Submitted articles are inserted directly into the content repository, ready for web use or syndication.
