(Dec. 19, 2005) – Enovation Graphic Systems is pleased to announce that Fujifilm’s FinalProof GxT digital contract proofer has been accredited by MetalFX as an approved technology for proofing metallics. MetalFX is a new design and print technology that’s revolutionizing the printing of metallic colors. With MetalFX, printers can offer their customers an unlimited amount of metallic colors, all by using only five inks – the usual CMYK set and the MetalFX base silver ink. “The ability to use MetalFX libraries with FinalProof GXT means that customers can now proof virtually any metallic color by using a combination of FinalProof’s process colors (C,M,Y,K) and the metallic donor. If the specified metallic color can be printed using the MetalFX process, then FinalProof GxT can proof it and vice versa,” explains Eric Neumann, product marketing manager for color and proofing products at Enovation. Fujifilm’s FinalProof GxT system offers a number of unique features in response to the growing demand for the expanded color capability and versatility in proofing substrates.
