Presstek Announces 2006 Open House Schedule

Press release from the issuing company

HUDSON, N.H., Dec. 28 -- Presstek, Inc., a leading manufacturer and marketer of environmentally responsible high tech digital imaging solutions for the graphic arts and laser imaging markets, today announced the 2006 schedule for its popular open house events. Presstek's open house events offer the opportunity to view a range of industry-leading solutions that are engineered to increase print job productivity and profitability. Hands-on demonstrations of Presstek DI presses, chemistry-free CTP systems, and workflow solutions are featured during these events. Special DI educational sessions are scheduled several times each day. Nineteen open houses are planned for 2006; the first events are scheduled for January 18-20 in Ann Arbor, MI and January 24-26 at The Printing Industry of New England headquarters in Southborough, MA. Other locations during the first quarter of 2006 include Raleigh, NC, Philadelphia, PA, and Columbus, OH. Brian Wolfenden, Director of Marketing Communications for Presstek reports, "Recent research conducted by InfoTrends/CAP Ventures found that a successful product demonstration is critical to making a buying decision when acquiring a DI press. These open houses allow our sales organization to conduct product demonstrations at locations that are more convenient to our customer base. As a result, we have increased our open house activity by 30% over 2005 as well as continued to support industry trade shows." "During 2005, over 500 printing companies took advantage of the opportunity to attend a Presstek open house, resulting in a significant number of decisions to purchase Presstek products. We expect the number of attendees to increase in 2006 with our more extensive schedule and already stepped up sales activity," said Emile Tabassi, Presstek's Vice President of Sales for North America. Tabassi adds, "These sessions provide a convenient educational venue for customers to learn first-hand about digital technologies that can significantly improve their business results."
