Press release from the issuing company

San Francisco, January 16, 2006 – The Printing Industries of Northern California (PINC) is pleased to host the PIA/GATF’s Digital Printing Council’s (DPC) Marketing 4 Digital (M4D) full-day seminar being held on February 24, 2006 at PINC in San Francisco. M4D is a unique and extensive research project giving digital and conventional printers the information and insight they need to sell their services to 24 specific vertical market segments. Industry expert Frank Romano kicked off the M4D educational series during his keynote at the PIA/GATF Variable Data Printing Conference in November, where the first set of eight M4D industry reports were presented, including: 1. Advertising Agencies 2. Health Care (HMOs, Hospitals) 3. Cruise Industry (Hospitality and Tourism) 4. Department Stores (Retail Trade) 5. Gambling and Wagering (Casinos) 6. Automotive Industry (Manufacturers and Dealers) 7. Insurance 8. Real Estate (Brokerages) Printers throughout the Northern California and Northern Nevada will have the opportunity to learn more about M4D findings firsthand at the PINC event. Members and non-members are invited to attend the full-day seminar to be led by Romano. PIA/GATF member registration fee is $145, all others $215. Registration includes extensive handouts, lunch, and afternoon break. The seminar will cover: - What is marketing and its importance to print providers? - Overview of M4D, and how to implement the research in print companies - In-depth presentation of several M4D industry reports “We’re very excited to host the M4D seminar. Printers in our region have told us they want/need more information on how to more effectively market their services. Until now in-depth and practical information on what important industry segments are looking for from printers has not been available. M4D is groundbreaking research that is designed to arm all printing companies, traditional offset and digital, and their sales staff with information that will help them become more successful marketers and thus more profitable,” says Jim Frey, Executive Vice President of PINC. For more information on the M4D Seminar in San Francisco or to register please contact: Jim Frey, 415- 489-7608. M4D – Powerful, Practical, Easily-Implemented Tools for Selling M4D’s aim is to arm all printing companies and their sales staff with the specific detail they require to understand the specific needs of current and potential customers in over 24 vertical segments. Plus, M4D information teaches sales staff to “speak the specific language” of vertical segment customers, as the reports provide a deep understanding of each segment’s respective environment and unique requirements. M4D and the M4D Educational Series are part of PIA/GATF’s yearlong celebration of The Year of Digital Print and the fact that DPC is now a core service offering available to PIA/GATF members.
