November 28th, 2005 - Al Tahrir Print and Publishing House is installing a new Goss Community press at its printing plant in Cairo. The press will print a number of Egyptian newspaper titles and will increase color and efficiency at the plant. The new press will have a 578 mm cut-off and 760 mm web-width with the possibility of running a ½ reel of 380 mm. It is configured with two four-high towers for 4/4 color, three mono units with integrated reel stands, two Amal AR30 reel stands and one folder. Equipped with both half- and quarter-page capacity, the press provides automatic color register control, including circumferential sidelay register adjustment capability. For ease of operation the motorized ink keys are controlled via a touch screen interface. The press will print at speeds of up to 30,000 copies per hour.
