Hexion Specialty Chemicals to Raise Prices on Resins and Other Ingredients for Printing Inks

Press release from the issuing company

COLUMBUS, Ohio--Nov. 28, 2005-- Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Inc. announced that it will raise prices in the Americas effective January 1, 2006 for various resins and ingredients used in formulating printing inks. "Ongoing cost increases for both raw materials and energy make these price increases necessary, despite our best efforts to mitigate the impact on our customers of these factors," said Dan Romani, Manager, Sales & Marketing. The price increases range from three to twenty-five cents per pound, depending on the product. Affected products include all resins, solutions, vehicles and allied ingredients. Prices for certain specialty products may see larger increases, based upon formulation.
