Oce Acquires GE Access Printing Solutions in Mexico

Venlo, The Netherlands, January 4, 2002 — Oce-USA Holding, Inc. announced the purchase of GE Access Printing Solutions S.A. de C.V. of Mexico City from GE Capital Information Technology Solutions, Inc., a division of GE, Inc. The company, renamed Oce-Mexico, S.A. de C.V., has been a distribution partner for Oce production printing and wide format printing solutions for several years. Oce-Mexico will help local and multi-national customers achieve increased productivity with digital printing solutions. General Manager of Oce-Mexico will be Jorge Colin, previously Director of Sales for GE Access Printing Solutions. He will report to Giovanni Pelizzari, President and CEO, Oce-USA Holding, Inc. "This acquisition will enable us to bring our solutions directly to the Mexican market, which has demonstrated a strong demand for our document management and output systems. The acquisition will also assure consistent Oce support and services to our multi-national customers from the US and Europe that are operating in Mexico," said Rokus van Iperen, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Oce N.V., in announcing the transaction. "We are fortunate to expand our business in Mexico on the strong foundation already developed by GE Access." In Mexico, Oce will offer a full line of printers, software and services from its three strategic business units. The offering includes transaction and print-on-demand solutions from the Production Printing Systems unit; technical document solutions for the engineering market and display graphics solutions from the Wide Format Printing Systems unit; and advanced office and distributed printing solutions from the Document Printing Systems unit. Oce will also offer a complete range of business and consulting services in Mexico. Distribution in Mexico will be through a combination of direct sales and distributors, several of whom are already in place.
