Relizon Unveils "Relizon Idea Center"

Press release from the issuing company

DAYTON, Ohio, November 15, 2005 - Relizon today announced the unveiling of the Relizon Idea Center, a 300,000 square foot facility near Columbus, Ohio, designed to showcase the latest techniques and best practices in outsourced marketing services. The center is equipped with leading-edge technology and advanced processes to support Web-driven one-to-one communication and world-class fulfillment. "We developed the Relizon Idea Center in response to increasing demand for customized communication and faster speed to market," said Timothy Schriner, president of Relizon's U.S. Business Communications Group. "Our clients want to personalize their approach to customers in order to generate higher returns from their marketing investments. The center will enable our customers to design and deploy targeted campaigns from their desktops and launch them from our mail center the same day." The Relizon Idea Center is outfitted with the latest equipment for digital document production and fulfillment, including two Xerox iGen3 110 Digital Production Presses. These high-end digital presses let Relizon offer customers the economic advantages of shorter runs and the flexibility to personalize and customize their marketing materials in full color for more effective communication, including brochures, sell sheets, training and service manuals, newsletters and more. The Idea Center also uses four Xerox DocuTech 6180 Production Publisher black-and-white devices. In addition to state-of-the-art equipment, Relizon has incorporated advanced processes and workflow to support digital print, including intelligent job routing that sends work to the most economical machines and server-based systems that allows operators to make changes to documents mid-stream. "Relizon has provided digital print and fulfillment services across North America for some time," said Schriner. "But this state-of-the-art facility goes a step further in that we have united under one roof the latest equipment, technology and processes for digital print production, kitting, fulfillment and distribution on this large a scale. The result is a highly flexible and scalable facility that's able to turn marketing projects quickly and economically." Relizon customers are already leveraging the Idea Center. For example, a top-tier retailer of financial services with thousands of offices across the U.S. is currently using the center's technology infrastructure as a custom ordering print engine for variable color imaging. By transitioning its entire marketing collateral production to the center, the company has gained the ability to tailor marketing collateral to suit the needs of local market preferences, special offers and contact information. This level of customized digital production was previously unavailable for the 27 million marketing pieces produced each year. The Relizon Idea Center is managed by Jeffrey Weiss, director of integrated services. Weiss brings deep operational expertise for digital and variable print, fulfillment and marketing services through senior management experience with leading companies in Belarus, Canada and the United States.
