Agfa Brings The Graphic Enterprise to Graphics Canada '05

Ridgefield Park, NJ – November 7, 2005 – Agfa is bringing its award-winning prepress solutions to Graphics Canada 2005, November 10-12 at the International Centre, Toronto, Ontario. Following a very successful Print05 show, Agfa experts will be demonstrating the very popular :Azura chemistry-free plate system and showing the components of the new :Digital Solutions Suites. Show attendees will be able to get demonstrations on the latest Agfa enterprise automation software, including :Delano web-based project management, :ApogeeX for workflow automation and :Arcadia dynamic publishing solution and get the chance to see the photo-realistic print quality from :Sublima XM (cross modulated) screening. Visitors to the Agfa booth (#3616) will also get to see the new :Grand Sherpa Universal 65 AM wide format inkjet printing system. At Print05, Agfa showed technology advances in CtP systems and workflow that are available immediately for more convenience, better productivity and less chemistry in printing. At the event last month in Chicago, IL (USA), Agfa sold more than100 new digital systems to customers looking to enhance their business and profitability. More than 50 printing solution providers chose Agfa's new chemistry-free CtP system with ThermoFuse technology, :Azura, joining the more than 300 users thus far who already enjoy the benefits digital platemaking without the complexities and inconveniences of chemical processes. "Agfa has taken a leadership role in the advancement of chemistry-free platemaking in printing establishments," said Jack Baraczek, president, Agfa Canada. ":Azura eliminates the variables of conventional plate processing, while offering plate performance equivalent to conventional offset. Thus, :Azura improves convenience and reliability in platemaking and printing." Located in booth #3616 at Graphics Canada, Agfa will be showing and demonstrating: New platesetting solutions, including the new :Avalon line of thermal platesetters and :Azura Chemistry-Free plates The new Digital Solutions Suites, which provide the latest technology – both hardware and software, including :ApogeeX, :Delano, :Salient and :Arcadia (North America only) – to simplify the automation of The Graphic Enterprise :Sublima XM Screening, which is now included in many versions of :ApogeeX. :Sublima has also been expanded to offer advanced screening on non-Agfa CtP engines running the :ApogeeX workflow and it also now includes lower yet faster resolutions on the :Galileo Digital inkjet proofing with the :Grand SherpaMatic and wide format inkjet printing with the :Grand Sherpa Universal 65 AM Expansion of softproofing capabilities in :Delano
