Xante Announces Completion Of Transition From Laserlink To Myriad 2 Plates In Australia & New Zealand
Press release from the issuing company
Mobile, AL (October 3, 2005) — Last year Xanté Corporation was awarded the exclusive, worldwide distribution rights for Agfa’s LaserLink Plates (LLP). Under this agreement Xanté began distributing the LLP under its own “Myriad 2” brand name worldwide. To ensure that customers were still supplied with plates during the transition period, Agfa continued to sell its inventory of LLP in many markets. These inventories have been depleted, and the Myriad 2 plates now replace LLP entirely.
The Myriad 2 plate provides the perfect computer-to-plate solution both domestically and internationally. Xanté sells these plates in combination with its PlateMaker line of CTP solutions for a complete, process-free workflow on polyester-based plate material.
The Myriad 2 plate is the first polyester based printing plate with press characteristics more like traditional plates, but without hazardous chemicals associated with conventional processes. The easy to handle Myriad 2 plate offers high toner adhesion with minimal particle scatter, perfect for rich quality output.
While the Myriad 2 plate is suitable for up to 15,000 impressions, image accuracy reaches beyond the recommended print. Excellent hydrophilic properties provide fast ink-up, and durable, scratch-resistant plates ensure long-lasting use. Myriad 2 plates are available in sizes up to 340 x 505 mm. Plate thickness is 4 mil. (0.10 mm).
“Our solid partnership with Agfa has enabled Xanté to establish this worldwide distributorship with them, proving our dedication and commitment to the print industry both locally and internationally,” said Robert C. Ross, Jr., Xanté founder and CEO. As Xanté recently marked their 16th year in the print industry, it is apparent to Agfa and industry partners alike, that Xanté’s reputation carries prestige.
