Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, N.Y., November 3 - Kodak announces the installation of its 500th PRINERGY Evo workflow system, Kodak's most affordable PDF workflow system for commercial, packaging and newspaper printers. Introduced in 2004, PRINERGY Evo workflow system controls prepress, plate, and film production with excellent productivity and output quality. The new PRINERGY Evo 3 system introduces unique advances in automation, flexible integration and process control options. PRINERGY Evo 3 Workflow Template Automation is a powerful new tool that allows operators to link process and control steps together to define a workflow. Multiple workflows can be active at one time providing a flexible, open framework to automate and track job status, and increase throughput with less manual effort. Dynamic Process Settings allow operators to customize processing parameters on-the-fly for greater control and flexibility. Printers can create a unified workflow using PRINERGY Evo system's Digital Print Integration feature, which provides the ability to specify and automate digital print output preferences from within the workflow system using JDF (Job Definition Format). The installation of the PRINERGY Evo workflow system at Imprimerie Nouvelle de Viarmes (INV) of Viarmes, France marks the 500th installation. Since 1961, INV has provided sheetfed color and carton work for large clients, including manufacturing, banking, insurance, health, and service providers. "The PRINERGY Evo system has been our entry into digital workflow, and it has been easy-to-use and very productive," said Christian Francois, Managing Director, INV. "We chose PRINERGY Evo workflow system because of its extensive features and functionality, and we trusted the reputation and recognized expertise of Kodak."
