KBR Graphics Becomes New Eastern Canadian Dealership for KBA North America

KBA North America, a leading supplier of sheetfed offset and digital presses based in Williston, VT, is announcing that KBR Graphics Ltd., a major supplier to the printing industry covering the provinces of Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces, has signed an agreement to become KBA's new eastern Canadian dealership. The agreement calls for KBR to distribute KBA Performa, 74 Karat, and Genius 52 UV presses. "For over 25 years, we've grown to become one of the leading suppliers of printing equipment in Canada because we've brought our customers the best possible solutions for their printing needs, offering quality equipment with the best results at a reasonable investment," says Karl Belafi Jr., vice president of KBR Graphics Ltd. "Signing to become KBA's dealer in the eastern Canadian market continues our promise to our customers. It is a big step for us and we're proud to be associated with such a fine manufacturer." Presses to meet every need in the small- and midsize commercial market KBR Graphics Ltd. will be distributing KBA-Grafitec's Performa 74 and Performa 66, as well as KBA's 74 Karat, and Genius 52 UV presses. The Performa 74 sheetfed press was recently added when KBA acquired Czech press manufacturer Grafitec earlier this year. At Print 05, the Performa press made its debut with its new KBA design for the first time. It is designed as an economical entry point for smaller and medium-size businesses active in multicolor commercial printing. The Genius 52 is a 20-inch format press designed for the short-run color market. It can produce the highest print quality and uses waterless ink. The Genius 52 features one-operator ability, ultra short make ready times of less than 5 minutes from approved-sheet to approved-sheet, a unique ability to print on a wide variety of stock up to 32 pt (including lenticular, plastic and cover),plus its high quality print results and the low startup waste of less than 10 sheets. In addition, the Genius 52 is the world's first and only waterless UV press. The 74 Karat 29-inch digital offset press produces waterless print quality and consistent color on a variety of substrates such as onionskin, board, plastics, and lenticular. Like the Genius 52 the Karat features the unique Gravuflow inking system. Combined with a Creo direct imaging system, the 74 Karat offers a quick makeready of around 15 minutes from approved-sheet to approved-sheet, low waste of less than 10 sheets, and ease of use.
