Oce Introduces Media Line for Solvent Inkjet Printers

CHICAGO, Dec. 8 -- Oce, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, today announced a new line of media that can be used in a variety of popular solvent inkjet printers. The line includes cast and calendered pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) vinyl, polyvinylchloride (PVC) scrim banner, outdoor paper, glossy photo paper, backlit film and textile material, which can be used in a wide range of popular solvent and low-solvent large format inkjet printers. "Adding this line of media for solvent inkjet printers to our already extensive line of media for thermal and piezo, aqueous based inkjet printers gives our customers a full range from which to choose, no matter what printer they're using," said Daniel G. The following 11 media are now available: Oce Cast Self Adhesive Vinyl (CSAVSOL): This material is a 2.1 mil cast vinyl with Avery Dennison Easy Apply(TM) permanent, long term, removable self adhesive. Avery Easy Apply technology reduces wrinkling and air entrapment during application. Oce Cast Self Adhesive Vinyl is thin and flexible and is ideal for more demanding surfaces. Oce Calendered Self Adhesive Vinyl (PSAVSOL): This material is a 3.4 mil premium calendered vinyl with a permanent three year removable adhesive. It includes Avery Dennison Easy Apply(TM) technology, which reduces wrinkling and air entrapment during application. Oce Economical Adhesive Backed Vinyl (ESAVSOL): A 3.5 mil promotional calendered vinyl with permanent self adhesive, this material offers outdoor durability of up to one year. Oce Scrim Banner Double Sided with Blockout (LCRMSOL): This 12-oz. smooth, micro-textured scrim banner offers 100% opacity for double-sided printing and viewing. It is designed for outdoor use with a durability rating of up to 18 months. Oce Scrim Banner Single Sided with Blockout (HSCRMSOL): Long life with exceptional weather resistance is a primary feature of this 16-oz. durable banner offering. It is designed for pole and over-the-street-banners with an outdoor durability of up to 18 months. Oce Solvent Photo Paper (PHOTOSOL): This material is designed to provide exceptional glossy photorealistic images on solvent inkjet printers. This media offers a cost-effective solution for producing promotional graphics posters and photo reproductions. Oce Outdoor Poster Paper - 212 gsm (HPSTERSOL): This is a heavyweight, latex-saturated indoor / outdoor poster paper designed to maintain cohesive fiber strength when wet and when used with wallpaper paste. It is ideal for outdoor use. Oce Outdoor Poster Paper - 140 gsm (LPSTERSOL): This lightweight, latex-saturated indoor / outdoor poster paper is designed to maintain cohesive fiber strength when wet and when used with wallpaper paste. Oce Solvent Backlit (BLITSOL7): This material is a rugged, 7-mil polyester (PET) backlit film designed to produce maximum ink density, vivid colors and high image resolution. Oce Heavy Poly Textile (HBANSOL): This 143 gsm, 100% polyester fabric is designed for universal compatibility with solvent, eco- and light-solvent, and aqueous inkjet printers. It meets NFPA 701 CA1237 fire retardant requirements. Oce Light Poly Textile (LBANSOL): This 120 gsm, 100% polyester fabric is designed for universal compatibility with solvent, eco- and light-solvent, and aqueous inkjet printers.
