Xeikon adds NOW Technology Group as a front-end partner

Press release from the issuing company

Itasca, IL and Baltimore, MD, October 12, 2005 – Punch Graphix announces the addition of NOW Technology Group (NTG) to its North American Workflow Partner Program for further strengthening its Xeikon product offering. With this partnership, Xeikon's current and future customers will have access to additional Print-On-Demand and workflow tools to increase their companies' marketability in the web-to-print applications space. According to Glenn Toole, VP-Marketing and Business Development, Punch Graphix Americas, “Many Xeikon customers are already using web-to-print applications. To meet the growing demand in the market, we have decided to team up with NTG. The decision to add NTG as a front-end partner was based on a thorough evaluation of NTG's web based product offerings by our R&D department. NTG's robust workflow solutions for sophisticated on-demand printing and features developed for direct mail printing will further strengthen our web-to-print solutions offering.” The seamless integration between NTG's web-to-print software suite and Xeikon's digital color presses was made possible by the open architecture of Xeikon's X-800. This renowned digital front-end offers an enhanced toolbox for rapid and optimum workflow automation and integration. In addition, the X-800 has been developed with high productivity in mind: the controller can easily process print jobs incorporating complex graphics with variable data from over 1 million records. Participation as a Xeikon front-end partner assures customers that these combined products will provide a unique and best-in-class web-to-print solution. NTG also has a complete product integration platform at the Punch Graphix Technology center in Itasca, Illinois and is demonstrating the combined product integration at several industry trade shows in 2005 and 2006. Among other features, NTG's product offerings will help Xeikon users provide a broad range of web-to-print capabilities to their customers, including the capability to post templates on the web and the flexibility to create, edit, estimate, approve, order and mail the final printed product. In addition, Xeikon users will be in a position to build custom web store fronts for their customers in less than a day as well as attach in-house mailing databases to direct mail packages in one simple process. “We are confident that the combination of Xeikon's powerful X-800 digital front-end and NTG's comprehensive web-to-print solutions will go a long way in strengthening the competitive advantage of Xeikon users in their respective market segments,” concludes Thomas Haynes, President, NTG.
