Agfa exceeds sales expectations at Print '05

Press release from the issuing company

Mortsel (Belgium), September 16, 2005 – Agfa announced today that it largely exceeded its sales expectations at a very successful Print '05, the North American printing industry's main trade event held in Chicago every four years. Print providers are investing in Agfa's new digital solutions to distinguish themselves from the competition. "We could profit from a distinctly growing interest in digital printing at Print '05," said Stefaan Vanhooren, Agfa's president of the Graphic Systems business group. "Agfa's new solutions for industrial inkjet printing, enterprise and workflow automation software and chemistry-free printing plate technology in particular attracted the visitors' attention." During the trade show, Agfa sold more than 100 new digital systems, including platesetters, software, large-format digital inkjet printers, a digital inkjet press and consumables. "Our continuous innovation programs allow customers to streamline their processes and increase their productivity. The interest in our comprehensive portfolio and the resulting contracts clearly underline the value of Agfa's printing solutions in today's marketplace," Stefaan Vanhooren concludes.
