Kodak Awarded Seven ''Must See 'ems'' at Print 05 Show

Press release from the issuing company

CHICAGO--Sept. 12, 2005-- Eastman Kodak Company received seven "Must See 'em" awards at Print 05, the most awards presented to any single exhibitor, testifying to the depth of Kodak's innovation and the breadth of the company's offerings to the graphic communications industry. The Print 05 show is the world's largest, most comprehensive event for the commercial, package printing, and converting industry. The "Must See 'em awards" are sponsored by the Graphic Arts Show Company (GASC) and conducted independently by PrintCom Consulting Group. "Must See 'ems" recognize the industry's most compelling products and services as selected by a panel of 15 leading industry consultants and trade magazine editors. They are chosen to represent the technology trends that will impact virtually all types of printers or converters. "The 'Must See 'ems' are a highlight of the Print 05 show, and Kodak is extremely pleased to be recognized for its innovation and focus in helping print providers grow their businesses," said Barb Pellow, chief marketing officer, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group. "What is exciting for us is the recognition offered across our portfolio - from workflow systems and plates to digital printing." Six new Kodak products were selected as "Must See 'ems", including: The Hybrid Digital/Offset Press, combining a MULLER MARTINI CONCEPTA press and KODAK VERSAMARK continuous inkjet technology; KODAK NEXPRESS 2500 digital production color press, adding new modularity, capacity, flexibility and speed to this popular digital printing platform; KODAK NEXGLOSSER glossing unit for the NEXPRESS presses, adding high-impact gloss to enhance the value of digital print; KODAK THERMAL DIRECT Non Process Plates - new plates that remove the processing step from the printing process; PRINERGY 3 Layered PDF Versioning System, which helps customers manage the versioning process for complex print production jobs; PDF Merge and PDF Compare Plugins, which automate correction cycles management in a prepress workflow; The KODAK VERSAMARK 5000e printing system received an "Encore Must See 'em" recognizing a 2004 winner that again should be seen by 2005 visitors. The VX5000e offers sharp color and black-and-white output in a high-speed, high-volume continuous inkjet printing system. In addition, the company's TRACELESS tamperproof marking system, a 2004 selection, was selected as a "Still-Worth-a-Look" technology.
