Canon U.S.A. Demonstrates Powerful Imaging Technology Portfolio and Solutions at Print 05

CHICAGO--Sept. 9, 2005-- At Print 05, September 9th-15th, Canon U.S.A., Inc. (Booth #2079) will showcase the Company's unparalleled range of digital imaging technologies, demonstrating a comprehensive portfolio of solutions and services that improve workflow and deliver customized document management systems to commercial and corporate customers. Canon will showcase its' latest selection of digital print products and solutions - including the Canon imageRUNNER, Color imageRUNNER, imagePROGRAF(TM), Canon CLC and ColorPASS portfolios. Canon will also demonstrate its leading workflow solutions portfolio of feature sets and applications, including Canon imageWARE(TM), Universal Send(TM) and Web Access Software (among others) that dramatically raise the efficiency of everyday document output and general office tasks. "At Print 05, Canon will be one of the few technology leaders on-site demonstrating a complete line of customizable and bundled solutions - from scanning through document production - that promote a truly cost-effective, secure and optimal flow of information," said Tod Pike, senior vice president, Imaging Systems Group, Canon U.S.A. Visitors to the Canon U.S.A. booth at Print 05 will be able to view an expansive array of digital multifunction hardware, platform technologies and related software solutions, including: office systems and technologies covering a full spectrum of large format printer solutions, as well as a range of black-and-white and color multifunction print engines, enhanced networking and workflow capabilities, and greater integration of Canon's exclusive custom embedded application platform known as MEAP - or "Multifunctional Embedded Application Platform" technology. At Print 05, Canon will be demonstrating - for the first time - its complete workflow integration with EFI's Print MIS (Management Information System). Canon's Digital StoreFront (DSF), a web-submission program, automates the process of job submission and ordering, streamlining the order-taking process between customers and print providers. During Print 05, Canon and EFI will demonstrate Canon's CLC digital color technology featuring job submission using DSF with Job Ticket integration into Logic, an EFI management information system, representing true integration between business and production processes. Canon will also announce that Pageflex, a leading provider of Web-to-print technology, has recently joined Canon U.S.A.'s Imaging Systems Group (ISG) Alliance and Industry Marketing (AIM) program. This agreement enables joint promotion of Pageflex Persona Cross Media Suite(TM), a new variable data software application for the desktop, to more than 5,000 sales representatives across all Canon Authorized Dealer Channels. During Print 05 in Chicago's McCormick Place, Canon will also participate in a September 11 press conference to be delivered by the PIA/GATF's Digital Printing Council's M4D Initiative, of which Canon has recently announced it is a sponsor.
