Mitsubishi Imaging (MPM), Inc. has expanded its inkjet media product line with GF6, a new Semi-Gloss Proofing Paper designed to be used with Epson's UltraChromeTM inks . GF6 has a semi-gloss surface similar to the most popular offset printing papers, enabling it more accurately represent the printed press sheet. Its instant dry coating delivers highly color accurate proofs. It is specially formulated for use with Epson's UltraChrome inkjet systems and exhibits consistent color stability after printing. GF6 is available in cut sheets of 13 x 19 inches as well as in rolls 17, 24, 36 and 44 inches wide. With 92 percent brightness and thickness of 7.5 mil, GF6 is a highly versatile proofing substrate for a wide range of commercial print applications. It dries instantly and offers excellent water resistance so that proofs can be handled as soon as they are printed. “GF6 is the UltraChrome compatible version of the popular Diamond Jet GC5 proofing paper,” said Shinsuke Imanishi, General Manager Marketing, “which was designed to better represent the offset press sheet for a more faithful rendition of the final product.”
