Monday, September 12, 2005

Press release from the issuing company

Berlin/Ghent/Chicago, September 9th, 2005. callas software has entered into a technical and commercial partnership agreement with Gradual Software. The non-exclusive agreement calls for Gradual to work closely with callas to develop "configurators" for callas applications, allowing the award-winning CaslonFlow software to seamlessly integrate with callas products. CaslonFlow connects a range of third-party applications, adding built-in tools, to create a publishing workflow customized to the individual needs of a production environment. CaslonFlow 5.5, announced at Print 05, includes configurators for the newly available CLI (Command Line Interface) versions of callas pdfInspektor3, pdfColorConvert, and pdfCorrect, which have been designed for smooth integration into production environments. Their full power is available via the intuitive CaslonFlow interface, with the simplicity and convenience of a plug-in. Users can closely monitor the execution of a callas CLI application during the workflow process from the CaslonFlow interface, without the need to separately launch it. According to Olaf Druemmer, CEO, callas software, this agreement will benefit users across the publishing spectrum. "Our PDF tool set is regarded as one of the most powerful solutions on the market today. Joining forces with Gradual Software allows us to combine our PDF technology with an easy-to-use automated workflow solution. It's a perfect match for streamlining any PDF processing workflow." Peter Camps, CEO, Gradual Software, comments, "CaslonFlow adds value and new capabilities to our vendor partner applications, and vice-versa. Our cooperation with callas software, a leader in professional PDF preflight, correction and conversion tools, will offer greater efficiency and control for agencies, publishers and printers." Bundled Pricing Opportunities at Print 05: At Print 05 and during the coming months, two bundled price packages are available for greater savings: CaslonFlow combined with one of the command line applications (pdfInspektor3, pdfCorrect or pdfColorConvert) is available for 3,499 USD (original value is 4,998 USD).
