Press release from the issuing company

TORRANCE, Calif., (Sept. 8, 2005) --- The Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF), the non-profit organization dedicated to the document communications industry, presented 42 scholarship awards to 36 full-time students attending accredited colleges and universities in the United States, Canada and Scotland. One of the primary goals of EDSF, the scholarship program promotes the document industry by supporting future professionals through education and networking opportunities. The monetary rewards ranged from $500 to $3,500. “The growth of the EDSF scholarship program has tremendous significance for the document industry,” said Jeanne Mowlds, Executive Director of EDSF. “By offering scholarships to tomorrow’s future leaders, we increase their opportunities to contribute to this multi-faceted industry. EDSF is extremely grateful to the businesses and individuals whose contributions make the scholarships possible.” EDSF programs are funded by charitable contributions from individuals, suppliers and user companies in the document communication industry. Specific scholarship grants are sponsored by AXIS, Inc., OutputLinks/COPI, Pitney Bowes Education and Literacy Fund, Xplor Canada Region and Xplor International. Since the initiation of the scholarship program in 1999, when one student received a $2,000 grant, more than 137 students have gained financial support from the EDSF scholarship program. At least one student has received an EDSF award for three consecutive years. A minimum of 35 scholarships are available each year. Scholarship recipient majors include: computer science, graphic communications, information systems, advertising, media and graphic design, sales, marketing, public relations, and digital media studies.
