Kodak Introduces Localized Information Kit to Help Printers Go Green

Press release from the issuing company

DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY, May 29-Kodak's Graphic Communications Group expands its program of bringing localized sustainability information to specific geographic regions.

A kit with information and resources to help printers in the U.K. and DACH regions understand how sustainability may impact their business debuts at drupa.

Content for the kit, titled 'Toward Greater Sustainability…Together,' was developed specifically for European markets and focuses on the business and operational implications of a sustainability program.

"We are committed to working with associations and customers around the world to develop and localize meaningful sustainability programs," said Kevin Joyce, Chief Marketing Officer, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group and Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company. "This latest version of the sustainability kit reflects our goal of providing customers with knowledge and solutions as they develop and implement their sustainability plans, as well as information about our own efforts to become a more sustainable organization."

The kit includes an overview of sustainability trends, best practices and strategies. It also features a case study of two printers at the forefront of environmentally responsible practices, a glossary of terms, and a guide to industry and government resources to assist customers with their sustainability efforts. An overview of sustainability related products, programs and services from Kodak's Graphic Communications Group is also included.

Kodak has a long standing commitment to sustainability for its customers, communities and employees. Over the past five years, Kodak has achieved a 36 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and energy usage. In recognition of its sustainability program, Kodak earned a place on the FTSE Good Index listing of socially responsible companies for more than five years. In addition, Kodak has established voluntary partnerships with leading sustainability organizations such as Business Roundtable's S.E.E. Change Initiative (Social, Environmental, Economic) and the Global Environmental Management Initiative.

The sustainability information kit was introduced in the United States last year.
