Press release from the issuing company

Columbia, Maryland (August 16, 2005) – PEAK Technologies, an RR Donnelley company, today announced that it has been awarded a General Services Administration (GSA) IT schedule contract under the Federal Supply Schedule Program, enabling government agencies to procure PEAK automatic identification/data collection (AIDC) solutions and services. PEAK's GSA contract number is GS-00F-0015R. Under the terms of the contract, PEAK will offer services such as wireless radio frequency (RF) site surveys; RF security audits and consulting; project management; infrastructure services; and break/fix maintenance services on printer, data collection and forms handling equipment and PEAK Performance thermal ribbons and labels. In addition, PEAK is establishing teaming agreements with the industry's leading hardware vendors enabling PEAK to provide turnkey AIDC solutions. The General Services Administration's Federal Supply Schedules Program ensures that all agencies, regardless of size or location, are provided with access to the same services, convenience and stated prices from PEAK Technologies. State agencies also use the GSA procurement schedules when acquiring material and services with federal grants or allocations. The adoption of AIDC and mobility technology by all military, non-military, and public safety government agencies on local, state and federal levels is growing rapidly, and, according to Venture Development Corp., will represent over a $4 billion combined market by 2008. “With 20 years of experience as a leader in the AIDC industry, PEAK's knowledge of automating warehousing, logistics and supply chain business processes will serve as a strong fit for providing these same solutions to a broad range of government agencies,” said Adrian Thomas, President and CEO, PEAK Technologies, Inc. “With offices throughout North America and Europe, PEAK's extensive technical resources and breadth of geographic coverage ensures that government agencies have an experienced, single-source AIDC solutions provider to handle multi-site technology deployments and service engagements.”
