Lake Image to Launch Postnet Quality Verifier at Print ‘05

Press release from the issuing company

(Henrietta, NY)- Lake Image Systems will introduce IntegraVision PV at Print ’05 in Chicago. IntegraVision PV provides detailed analysis of each Postnet code at the output of inserting, stitching & inkjet equipment and provides machine control upon code deterioration. Capable of analyzing laser, inkjet and alternatively printed codes at maximum equipment speeds, IntegraVision PV evaluates each code based on many of the same standards used by the USPS including: streak detection, void detection, correct number of bars, bar height, zone clearance, bar rotation, proper spacing, tilt, skew, bar-width and check digit verification. It also decodes, records and provides statistics for each bar-code analyzed. According to Pat Hoskins, VP- Sales & Marketing at Lake Image Systems, “IntegraVision PV helps eliminate costly re-work, spoilage and postal errors associated with poorly printed Postnet codes enabling users to optimize postage automation discounts. Unique in this market, IntegraVision’s Postnet verification is another tool in our IntegraVision software suite meaning the solution can be stand alone or can be utilized simultaneous with other camera inspections within the same system for such applications as: matching, sequencing verification, comparing production to print file information, tray break & bundle break sorting, etc.” IntegraVision PV will be demonstrated in Lake Image Systems booth #3074 at Print ‘05
