BOWE Bell + Howell launches JETS Version 3.1

Press release from the issuing company

Durham, N.C., Aug. 1, 2005 – BOWE Bell + Howell, the world's leading manufacturer of document processing and postal solutions, announced today the release of JETSTM Version 3.1, the latest and most encompassing iteration of enterprise management software. In the print/mail environment, enterprise management involves instantaneous monitoring of every machine, module, process and job. For new and current users alike, JETS 3.1 delivers improved efficiency and greater productivity stemming from BÖWE Bell + Howell's proven enterprise management experience and ongoing commitment to improving the overall customer experience. JETS 3.1 includes many new features developed as a result of customer and industry feedback. According to BÖWE Bell + Howell Enterprise Solutions Business Manager Brian Long, one of the most anticipated enhancements is an extension to the reporting framework. “Analysis data, which has always been available in online reports, can now also be exported for use with industry-standard or company-designed reporting tools,” said Long. “BÖWE Bell + Howell has also dramatically increased JETS' ability to personalize reports, and allow a user to apply business rules that easily identify and isolate particular data of interest.” Another customer-requested feature new to JETS is a 3D floor-modeling capability that allows users and managers to quickly look at a visual model of the production floor and “see” what is happening throughout the production system. This latest release also includes upgrades to job request management and the JETS alerting functionality. “Version 3.1 of JETS gives our customers additional capabilities to manage their production processes,” added Long. “This release also combines our full suite of JETS software into one version for easier deployment and support in any enterprise.” JETS exemplifies BÖWE Bell + Howell's modular approach, and is available starting at $1,495 per month to meet the needs of print/mail operations of any size with appliance-based packages for tracking, reporting and alerting. The JETS Technology software suite is recognized as the industry leader for enterprise management in the automated document factory (ADF) arena, wherein every single document can be tracked within the system. The JETS technology continually collects real-time data from every aspect of a company's operations and delivers it instantly to the company's production managers, customer service representatives, and other internal and external stakeholders. Most importantly, JETS can interface with any type of production equipment used in a print/mail environment, regardless of manufacturer. JETS can track every machine, every job, every process, every second.
