Fairleigh Dickinson's Silberman College of Business and the AGC Close to Starting First MBA Classes

Press release from the issuing company

[Florham Park], NJ (July [22], 2005) – Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Silberman College of Business recently accepted additional students for the nation’s first MBA in Graphic Communications Management prior to the commencement of an intensive press campaign aimed at attracting students for the fall and spring cohorts. This executive MBA program is being offered in partnership with the Association of Graphic Communications (AGC), a 140-year-old trade association based in New York City. Students in this 21-month intensive-study program, which meets on Saturdays and select Fridays, will have the unique opportunity to learn about various aspects in Graphic Communications Management from established leaders in the industry. In addition to the normal MBA courseload, students in this cohort-based structure will take one two-week study-abroad trip to analyze the industry in other cultures; students will also attend classes held on-site at some of the largest companies in the industry. "This is one of the most important programs that our association has undertaken in recent years," commented Susan Greenwood, President of the Association of Graphic Communications. "Students will have the unique opportunity to learn successful management techniques directly from top industry leaders within the world’s foremost printing, design and supplier companies, such as ink production, paper interchanges, pre-press and more. Our hope is that, ten years from now, many of the executives in major companies in our industry will have come through this program." The program, which meets at Fairleigh Dickinson’s Hamilton Park campus, will also feature classes at AGC’s offices in New York City. "This one-of-a-kind program exemplifies FDU’s commitment to graduate education," said Peter Caliguari, Head of Graduate Admissions at Fairleigh Dickinson University, "FDU is the only school in the country that can teach executives from the graphic communications industries the knowledge that they need to grow their businesses from the inside out." The executive MBA is being offered to individuals with at least 7 to 10 years of experience in the graphic arts industries, which includes printing, advertising, pre-press, manufacturing, and graphic design, among other disciplines. Cohorts are scheduled to start in the fall and spring semesters and are limited to 25 students each. Tuition for the program is $52,800 and includes all fees, travel expenses and other costs associated with the program. Financial aid is available to qualified applicants. Applications for the program are still being accepted, but space is limited. For more information, please contact Vicki Keenan at [email protected] or Peter Caliguari at [email protected].
