RIPit Makes Plans for PRINT 05

Press release from the issuing company

July 14, 2005 – LAS VEGAS and TAMPA – In announcements made in conjunction with the ICED and Sir Speedy and PIP Printing Conferences being held this week, RIPit is providing more information on the CtP solutions it will release this fall and at PRINT 05. RIPit CEO Wayne Wasulko, who is leading a session on workflows for small and quick printers today at ICED; said that RIPit has a number of new offerings scheduled to roll out beginning at Print 05 and through the first quarter of 2006. RIPit Computer Corp. is the primary workflow and CtP provider to the majority of quick printers and franchises in North America. “We had early, rapid confirmation from the small and quick print market that we hit on the right product, price and quality mix with our SpeedSetter Violet Metal CtP technology and OpenRIP Symphony workflow,” Wasulko says. “This kind of feedback bolstered our resolve to get the next most requested CtP format and workflow features into development and out to the marketplace as quickly as possible.” In addition to a new SpeedSetter Violet Metal CtP system, the company will also soon unveil the addition of several major features to the OpenRIP Symphony workflow. Customers are also reporting that other CtP category providers remain unable to close the gap between the comprehensive CtP system offering from RIPit and their own product lines. Jeremy Mitchell, production manager at Sir Speedy Sarasota, says, “RIPit gives us an incredible, unbeatable package for an amazingly low cost of entry. I’m pushing 2400 dpi or 150 lpi easy with OpenRIP Symphony, which comes with all the bells and whistles, including imposition, full-featured RIP, and always available tech support. We’re saving ink and saving money, and at the same time giving our customers high end quality like they’ve never seen before.” The International Center for Entrepreneurial Development, Inc. (ICED), the parent company of Kwik Kopy Printing, American Wholesale Thermographers, Copy Club, The Ink Well, Franklin’s Printing, Women’s Health Boutique, Parcel Plus, Kwik Kopy Business Centers and COMPUTERTOTS/COMPUTER EXPLORERS, hosts Wayne Wasulko’s session today at the ICED Conference. The ICED Conference is taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center today and tomorrow, July 14 and 15. The two organizations are also celebrating the success of their 2004 agreement wherein RIPit’s OpenRIP Symphony is integrated into new and existing ICED franchises. ICED executive Bob Metzger says, “OpenRIP Symphony offers solutions to a number of the challenges our Franchise owners face. The workflow is designed to help prepress departments get the work out right, the first time.”
