July 6, 2005 -- (WhatTheyThink.com) -- May printing shipments were up slightly compared to May of 2004, and industry shipments to date are up 0.7% compared to last year on a current dollar basis. Adjusting for inflation, the industry is down about -2% for the first five months of the year. These data will be discussed in detail in my next column on July 15.
