Quadtech Increases Customer Focus In North America

Press release from the issuing company

QuadTech announces the restructure and expansion of its North American Sales Group. The move is designed to provide an increased focus on specific market segments to better support the future needs of both new and existing customers. Greg Kallman, previously Regional Sales Manager responsible for the Midwest, is promoted to National Newspaper Sales Manager. Greg comments, “The newspaper industry is a prime example of why we need these changes. The current market trend towards higher quality print, coupled with the continuing growth in the use of color requires the latest registration and automation technologies to deliver better products to readers and advertisers. My previous experience with parent company Quad/Graphics as a Customer Service Account Manager gives me a valuable insight into how newspapers can apply these technologies to meet their customers’ needs.” Joe Czaplewski takes over the sales territory vacated by Greg Kallman. Joe moves from position of Color Control System Technical Sales Manager, to a new Regional Sales Manager. This role will encompass the Lower Midwest Region, consisting of Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Ontario and Manitoba. Before joining QuadTech, Joe worked for 13 years with Quad/Graphics in a variety of roles, including Prepress Production Manager and also Imaging Customer Service Manager. His vast knowledge of web offset printing will enable him to help customers become more profitable by helping them to produce high quality and cost-effective output. Nick Mills has been appointed Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast and also Gravure Publications Specialist, responsible for all North American gravure publication printing sales. Operating from QuadTech’s Florida office, he was made UK Regional Sales Manager in 1998, having previously worked as a Service Technician. His experience with gravure technologies will enable him to act as a consultant to customers and work with them to improve print quality and processes. “I am able to fully understand the day-to-day issues and problems that can arise on the shop floor and use my knowledge and experience to our customers’ benefit,” states Nick. In addition, George Czechowski has been promoted to Sales Manager, The Americas. His background as a Field Service Technician, installing and servicing equipment and training press operators provides a solid foundation for understanding the application of QuadTech products. Combining the Americas under one management umbrella also provides a more focused day-to-day support for this key region. “The ultimate aim of these changes is to better serve the varied needs of our customer base,” said David Barton, Director of Sales for QuadTech. “This groundwork for the future will provide a sound strategy and a well articulated action plan for the North America Sales group. We are confident that the new appointments will provide us with new levels of client focus, ensuring our customers receive the technologies and services needed to be successful in today’s competitive climate.”
